Imboulou 120MW Hydropower Plant, Congo (Brazzaville)
With CMEC as General Contractor, the Imboulou Hydropower Project has a total reservoir capacity of 5.84x108m3 and an installed capacity of 120MW, comprising four 30MW units. Project construction covers 60 kilometers of approach road, an operation village, a power house, a dam, a sluice gate and a 220KV switching station.
It was then the largest engineering project ever undertaken by a Chinese contractor in the Republic of Congo and also the largest of its kind in the country, called the “Three Gorges Project” of Congo (Brazzaville)
