Media Spotlight CCTV-1 Xinwen Lianbo Reported on Shaanxi Kongtian Dongli Innovation Center Undertaken by CUCED
Recently, the column of “Working hard to open up a new chapter and advancing high-quality development” by CCTV-1 Xinwen Lianbo reported on the latest construction of Shaanxi Kongtian Dongli (“Aerospace Propulsion”) Innovation Center, a whole-process consulting project of China United Northwest Institute for Engineering Design&Research Co., Ltd. (CUCED), a member enterprise of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group) in Xi’an, Shaanxi.
Shaanxi Kongtian Dongli Innovation Center represents a focus of Xi’an’s building. Covering an area of about 78 mu, the center features the R&D office building, a standard factory, a special factory, etc., aiming to create an aerospace propulsion industry eco-system integrating the industrial, innovation, talents, policies, and funding chains.
After completion, the project will give full play to its pilot role in making a group of breakthroughs in key core technologies in future industries, commercializing a number of major scientific and technological innovation achievements, fostering a batch of promising technology-based SMEs with future industry characteristics, and cultivating multiple interdisciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship talents for future industries, in a bid to build the Kongtian Dongli Future Industry Technology Park into a first-class cradle for scientific and technological innovation an incubator for high-tech industries, thus injecting momentum for Shaanxi to implement the innovation-driven development strategy and construct a world leading technology park.
It is reported that the main structures of the 1 # high-rise factory, 2 # R&D office building, and 3-7 # multi-story factories have all been roofed. The construction of the secondary structure, the roofing works, the exterior insulation engineering, and the curtain wall building are now underway. Overall, 70% of the project has been finished and it is expected to be thoroughly completed and enter into service in the second half of 2014.
The project was jointly designed and managed by the First Engineering Company of CUCED and Arcplus Group PLC. During construction, the project team assigned technical backbones there to practice safety production and dust prevention regardless of various difficulties and strictly control quality and progress of the project to ensure safe, stable, and high-speed construction. With quality services, the project has received a wide range of recognition from property owners. In the final phase, CUCED will still hold high the banner of quality service and continue to push forward the high-standard construction of the project.
