In January 26 (local time), the phase-II project of the Serbian KOSTOLAC-B power station undertaken by CMEC Group Headquarters (CMEC) connected to the grid.
This project is Serbia’s first large-scale new power generation facility built in the past thirty years, the largest energy project in the country since its founding, and a key project under the cooperation framework agreement between China and Serbia.
This project involves China’s first 350MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired unit exported to the Central and Eastern Europe. The unit complies with EU standards, has high technical requirements and needs to go through strict approval procedures, posing great challenges to the implementation of the project. The successful grid-connected power generation of the project is a milestone for exporting Chinese complete power plants to the European market.
