Wang Bo Leads Delegation to Hefei General Machinery Research Institute to Promote Synergistic Cooperation
On July 25, Wang Bo, Assistant to the General Manager of SINOMACH and Party Secretary and Chairman of CMEC Group and CAMCE, led a delegation to Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “HGMRI”) for an inspection visit, and held discussions with Xu Shuangqing, Party Secretary and Chairman of HGMRI, on leveraging their respective strengths and deepening practical cooperation. Chen Xiaohong, Director and General Manager of HGMRI, attended the meeting.

During the symposium, Xu Shuangqing extended a warm welcome to Wang Bo and his delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of HGMRI’s business development and product portfolio. He noted that HGMRI, as a national-level research institute in the general machinery sector, has been deeply engaged in six core business areas: pressure vessels, compressors, pump-valve seals, refrigeration and heat exchange, hydrogen energy equipment, and data center liquid cooling. The institute has mastered a range of proprietary core equipment technologies, including LNG vaporizers, 90MPa hydrogen refueling compressors, large-scale spiral-wound heat exchangers, and liquid cooling cold plates. It possesses full-chain capabilities spanning fundamental R&D, equipment supply, testing and certification, and engineering support, with its products widely serving sectors such as petrochemicals, new energy, digital new infrastructure, and national defense. He pointed out that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, HGMRI’s need to expand overseas has become increasingly urgent as SINOMACH’s internationalization drive continues to accelerate. He noted that CMEC Group and CAMCE, as the Group’s core platforms for international development and representative enterprises, possess extensive overseas resources and international experience, and expressed the hope that both sides would leverage their respective strengths, deepen synergy, and join hands to explore global markets.
Wang Bo expressed his gratitude to HGMRI for its warm reception and paid tribute to the institute’s outstanding achievements under the leadership of Academician Chen Xuedong in deep cultivation of high-end general machinery equipment, independent innovation, service to national strategies, and pursuit of technological excellence. He noted that CMEC Group has a global network covering numerous Belt and Road partner countries, and boasts extensive practical experience in the planning, financing, construction, and operation of overseas industrialization projects, which is highly aligned with HGMRI’s needs for exporting high-end equipment and providing overseas complete plant support. He emphasized that the two sides share broad space for synergy. With a view to deepening all-round collaboration, Wang Bo put forward four proposals:
First, equipment exports should be pursued with well-considered strategies and optimized approaches. CMEC Group will leverage its overseas market channels and localized operational experience to tailor practical and advantage-driven overseas expansion plans for HGMRI, steadily expanding the overseas equipment supporting market.
Second, cooperation should be deepened in scientific research and the engineering application of research outcomes. The two sides should establish a seamless chain from technology R&D and outcome translation to engineering implementation, jointly developing key equipment in areas such as new energy and green chemistry, and facilitating the rapid integration of HGMRI’s first-of-its-kind research equipment into CMEC Group-led overseas EPC projects, thereby accelerating the engineering application and overseas market promotion of research outcomes.
Third, technical alignment and synergy should be strengthened in key industrial sectors. Leveraging HGMRI’s technical expertise in liquid cooling, cooling equipment quality evaluation, and cold plate testing, and building on IPPR’s design strengths and project resources in intelligent computing and data centers, the two sides should jointly develop full cooling solutions for green data centers, creating benchmark products for the export of liquid cooling equipment.
Fourth, multi-tiered and regular exchanges should be broadened. Mechanisms for regular management consultations and dedicated business task force meetings should be established. Technical experts and marketing personnel should engage in two-way exchanges and learning. Project information, industry resources, and overseas channels should be shared, forming a long-term synergistic model featuring talent mobility, business mutual promotion, and resource sharing.
Both sides agreed to fully implement the consensus reached during this visit, fully leverage their respective strengths, and rapidly advance cooperation in the four major directions of equipment exports, research translation, liquid cooling new infrastructure, and talent and business exchanges. By harnessing the Group’s overall strength, they will promote the global expansion of China’s high-end general machinery equipment, jointly contributing to SINOMACH’s goal of building a world-class enterprise.
Chen Fan, Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group; Liu Shengcheng and Yang Zhigang, Deputy General Managers of CAMCE; Fu Yongsheng, External Director of HGMRI; Wu Shunyong, Deputy Party Secretary of HGMRI; Fan Haibin, Deputy General Manager of HGMRI; along with heads of the Science and Technology Department of CMEC Group and relevant business divisions of HGMRI, attended the above activities.
