On July 23, Chen Fan, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group, led a delegation to COECG (Guangzhou) Engineering Survey and Design Co., Ltd. (COECG (Guangzhou)), a subsidiary of China Ocean Engineering Construction General Bureau (COECG), for research and guidance. Li Yiping, Party Secretary and Chairman of COECG, accompanied the visit.

During the meeting, Wang Yuanhong, General Manager of COECG (Guangzhou), reported on the company’s core business segments, operational performance, scientific and technological innovation achievements, industry market presence, and the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Li Yiping noted that COECG (Guangzhou), leveraging the comprehensive empowerment and brand support from CMEC Group, has been capitalizing on its professional expertise in fishing port and fisheries engineering to deepen its presence across the full industrial chain of marine engineering, in line with the main thrust of new industrialization. The company is committed to enhancing its overall value and sustainable development momentum, striving to become a “technology-driven specialized engineering company” frontrunner and demonstration window for COECG, and contributing solid strength to the strategic implementation of CMEC Group.

Chen Fan acknowledged the phased achievements made by COECG (Guangzhou) during the 14th Five-Year Plan period in deepening its specialized business areas and advancing reform. In line with CMEC Group’s 15th Five-Year strategic plan and building on COECG (Guangzhou)’s distinctive strengths in fishing port engineering, he put forward four work requirements:

I. Deepen efforts in core business to consolidate the foundation of core competitiveness. The company should firmly uphold its core business in fishing port and fisheries engineering, build a systematic professional and technical system around its core business areas, continuously amplify its first-mover technological advantages, strengthen the supporting capabilities of the marine engineering segment of CMEC Group, and secure the company’s long-term development through professional excellence.

II. Drive empowerment through scientific and technological innovation to reinforce the vehicle for high-quality development. Closely aligned with CMEC Group’s overall industrial layout, the company should place scientific and technological innovation at the center of its development, efficiently transform its technological reserves and R&D strengths into market competitiveness, and fully leverage the front-end technological empowerment and industrial steering role of the design institute.

III. Deepen internal and external synergy and two-way integration to broaden the international business landscape. Keeping pace with the trends of industrialization and internationalization, the company should strengthen resource sharing and business collaboration with sister companies within CMEC Group, steadily expand into overseas blue-ocean markets through an integrated synergy mechanism, and continuously grow its international business scale and industry influence.

IV. Give full play to the guiding role of Party building to safeguard the company’s steady development. The company should comprehensively consolidate the foundation of Party building, continuously strengthen grassroots Party organizations, institutionalize compliance management and risk prevention, rigorously enforce the primary responsibilities for workplace safety at all levels, thoroughly identify and mitigate various operational risks, and ensure the company’s high-quality development through high-quality Party building.
