On May 21, Fang Yanshui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), met with a delegation led by Tian Meng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Beijing General Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (BMEDI). The two sides exchanged views on strengthening mutual trust and understanding, expanding areas of collaboration, and deepening practical synergies.

General Manager Tian Meng and his delegation toured the CMEC Group flag wall and exhibition hall, where they were briefed on the construction achievements of key projects, gained in-depth insight into the Group’s business layout and development performance, and presented BMEDI’s extensive project outcomes across its core sectors, including water treatment, rail transit, urban road transportation, survey and testing, and architectural planning. Mr. Tian noted that this meeting has built a good communication bridge, and that the two parties will continue to strengthen their connection, broaden cooperation areas, and pool development strengths. Together, they will deepen their efforts in areas such as urban infrastructure, engineering design, and smart construction, jointly empowering infrastructure development and high-quality industry growth.

Fang Yanshui remarked that in light of the current new trends in the industry and market development, the two parties share strong business alignment and high resource complementarity, presenting vast space for cooperation—particularly in the field of digital and intelligent engineering construction. He expressed the hope that both sides would seize development opportunities, identify appropriate entry points for collaboration, deepen business synergy, technological collaboration, and resource sharing, and jointly explore new market horizons, achieving win-win results and coordinated development through a powerful alliance. The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions and reached consensus on ensuring the smooth implementation of ongoing cooperative projects.
