Recently, Xu Jian, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of SINOMACH, led a delegation to JIKAN Institute, a subsidiary of CMEC Group, to conduct a special research mission on SINOMACH’s engineering sector research projects. The mission aimed to precisely chart the direction of scientific research and help the enterprise improve quality and efficiency through technological innovation. Chen Fan, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group, accompanied the research mission.

During the meeting, responsible representatives from JIKAN Institute delivered special reports on the progress of 2025 research projects in the engineering sector, the phased achievements, follow‑up implementation plans, as well as the research objectives, core technical content, and expected application benefits of proposed research projects for 2026.

Academician Xu Jian listened to each report and offered comments, affirming the phased results achieved by JIKAN Institute in its research projects. He provided guidance on the institute‘s research work in light of industry development trends. He emphasized that the engineering construction industry is currently at a critical stage of transformation and upgrading. SINOMACH consistently adheres to scientific and technological innovation as its core, precisely empowering engineering sector enterprises with high-quality development through special research projects. It is necessary to continuously enhance core competitiveness, focus on core areas to deepen efforts, strengthen R&D accumulation, gradually build a core technology system covering the entire industry, promote the transformation of research results into practical productivity, and effectively translate technological advantages into market influence and sustainable development momentum.

Shao Xuekui, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of JIKAN Institute, expressed gratitude to SINOMACH, CMEC Group, and Academician Xu Jian for their long-standing support and guidance. He emphasized that JIKAN Institute would diligently implement all requirements put forward during this research mission, further optimize the structure of its project applications, concentrate on breaking through key technical bottlenecks, strengthen the top-level design of research work and the transformation of results, drive high-quality enterprise development with high-level scientific and technological innovation, and contribute greater scientific and technological support to the transformation and upgrading of SINOMACH and the high-quality development of CMEC Group.

The National Survey and Design Master, Chief Expert and Chief Engineer of JIKAN Institute, along with relevant responsible representatives from the Technology Development Departments of SINOMACH, CMEC Group, CAMCE, JIKAN Institute, CMIE, and CUCED, as well as those responsible for research projects, attended the meeting.
