Chen Fan and SINOMACH-Instrumentation Group Leadership Visit Chongqing’s Beibei District Leaders to Deepen Collaborative Innovation
Recently, Chen Fan, Deputy General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group) and Party Secretary and Chairman of China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CMIE), together with Li Cili, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of SINOMACH-Instrumentation Group, visited Lin Xuyang, Party Secretary of Beibei District, Chongqing Municipality. The meeting was also attended by Zhuo Dalin, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Beibei District, and Lyu Jun, a senior district official.
During the discussion, Lin Xuyang, on behalf of the Beibei District Party Committee and People’s Government, expressed a warm welcome to SINOMACH-Instrumentation Group and CMEC Group for their visit and engagement. He outlined Beibei’s development advantages and strategic positioning, noting that as the northern gateway of Chongqing’s central urban area, Beibei is actively integrating into the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone. The district is committed to serving as a “pilot zone” and “bridgehead,” and is striving for a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Lin highlighted that SINOMACH possesses robust capabilities in equipment manufacturing and new energy sectors and has established a solid foundation for cooperation with Beibei. He expressed hope that both sides would seize the opportunity of major project collaboration to further expand cooperation in areas such as accelerated project implementation, extension of the new energy industrial chain, and commercialization of key technological achievements—particularly in equipment R&D. He emphasized the need to continuously refine coordination mechanisms to ensure cooperative projects enter operation and deliver results as early as possible. Additionally, he encouraged both parties to proactively identify more areas of synergy, jointly foster new quality productive forces, and contribute to the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone and Chongqing’s vision of becoming a global hub for intelligent connected and new energy vehicles.
In response, Li Cili and Chen Fan introduced their respective companies’ strategic layouts and core strengths. SINOMACH-Instrumentation Group holds leading technological capabilities in high-performance materials, sensors, and high-end instrumentation. CMIE, meanwhile, has accumulated deep technical expertise and extensive project experience in electric motors, battery pack design and construction, and energy storage system deployment. The company has successfully delivered engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting services for industry leaders such as CATL and Gotion High-Tech, demonstrating strong technical depth and project execution capability. Both executives affirmed that Beibei boasts a solid industrial foundation and broad development prospects. They stated that their enterprises will build upon existing collaborations to accelerate the industrialization of advanced technologies, overcome bottlenecks in mass production, and further deepen collaborative innovation in fields such as new energy equipment and instrumentation—thereby supporting Beibei in cultivating a competitive industrial cluster.
The meeting was also attended by heads of relevant district departments and Wang Wei, Deputy General Manager of CMIE, among other representatives.
