The two sides held in-depth discussions on the execution of ongoing projects and explored opportunities to deepen and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

Chairman Wang Bo extended a warm welcome on behalf of CMEC Group to Mr. Kith Meng’s visit to China and expressed sincere gratitude for the long-standing trust and support that Royal Group (Cambodia) has consistently provided to CMEC Group. He outlined the Group’s core businesses and competitive strengths in both international and domestic markets, emphasizing its world-class capabilities in consulting, design, and international engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting—particularly its distinct advantages in large-scale industrial project delivery, which enable the Group to offer clients end-to-end, one-stop solutions across the entire industrial chain. Mr. Wang reviewed the series of positive outcomes achieved through close collaboration between the two teams since the signing of the Koh Kong 2×450MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant Project. He noted that both sides had engaged in thorough exchanges of views on several mutually prioritized cooperation initiatives. Chairman Wang affirmed that CMEC Group will mobilize its resources to ensure the efficient and smooth implementation of the project. Looking ahead, he expressed his expectation that this meeting would serve as a catalyst for deepening practical, multi-dimensional, and high-level collaboration. Such partnership, he said, would not only support Cambodia in strengthening its infrastructure systems and accelerating industrialization, but also continuously enhance local livelihoods and drive socio-economic development—thereby making greater contributions to the high-quality advancement of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation.

In response, Chairman Kith Meng thanked Mr. Wang for the warm hospitality and highly commended the efficient collaboration between the two teams, which has driven tangible progress on the project. He expressed appreciation to CMEC Group for its vital support in enhancing Cambodia’s national energy security and advancing its industrial development through this partnership. Chairman Kith Meng then provided a comprehensive overview of Royal Group’s strategic development plans across key business segments, including clean energy, industrial parks, cultural and tourism infrastructure, digital finance, and healthcare. He expressed strong anticipation that CMEC Group would further leverage its international competitive strengths—in large-scale industrial project execution, project financing, and integration of internal and external resources—to deepen strategic alignment with Royal Group. He called for tangible cooperation to jointly advance Cambodia’s modernization and achieve sustainable development goals.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the 5th Complete Plant Department of CMEC Group.
