On January 19, at the annual work conference of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), serving as the headquarters of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), the inaugural Chief Expert Appointment Ceremony was held. This event marks a significant step forward in establishing a high-level scientific and technological talent system within CMEC, serving as a robust intellectual engine to drive the company’s strategic transformation into a “technology-driven, specialized engineering company.”

To implement SINOMACH’s talent development strategy and further enhance the company’s science and technology talent pool, CMEC has established a high-caliber scientific and technological expert system comprising “Chief Experts” and “Senior Science and Technology Experts” based on the Management Measures for High-Caliber Science and Technology Experts. Senior Science and Technology Experts are selected from front-line design, research, and technical management personnel who possess solid capabilities and have made outstanding contributions. They are admitted through an application process. On this basis, those who demonstrate national leadership and strong technical authority in their respective professional fields are appointed as “Chief Experts.”

By leveraging technology for the future and building a foundation with expertise, the official appointment and inauguration of CMEC’s first batch of Chief Experts signify the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s journey toward becoming a hub for technological talent and reaching the pinnacle of industry technology. The Chief Experts will serve as the “leading geese” for CMEC’s innovation efforts and act as the “think tank” for strategic implementation. They will lead teams to tackle core technologies, expand emerging businesses, and execute major projects.
