Executive Vice President Zheng Chao of CCCME Visits CMEC Group
On January 9, Wang Bo, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), met at CMEC Group’s headquarters (China Machinery Engineering Corporation, or CMEC) with a delegation led by Zheng Chao, Executive Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME). The two sides held in-depth discussions on emerging industry dynamics, the transformation and upgrading of overseas operations, and collaborative opportunities across the industrial chain. Xie Ke, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group, also attended the meeting.

Chairman Wang Bo extended a warm welcome on behalf of CMEC Group to Mr. Zheng and his delegation, and expressed sincere gratitude for CCCME’s longstanding support and trust in CMEC Group and its member enterprises. He outlined the Group’s positive progress since the launch of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) in core business development, strategic positioning, and substantive operational advancement. Mr. Wang recalled that CMEC Group and several of its subsidiaries have long served as council members and regular members of CCCME, with CMEC itself being one of the Chamber’s founding members—working in close alignment with CCCME over the years. Wang emphasized that CMEC Group is committed to building a technology-driven, specialized engineering enterprise, anchored by world-class design and consultancy capabilities, powered by innovation, and supported by SINOMACH’s advanced equipment manufacturing strength. He expressed the Group’s expectation to deepen multi-dimensional and multi-tiered collaboration with CCCME, thereby making greater contributions to the high-quality development of BRI cooperation.

Executive Vice President Zheng Chao thanked CMEC Group for the warm reception and commended the Group’s remarkable achievements in its ongoing transformation. He introduced CCCME’s efforts in developing an international industrial cooperation service platform, particularly its initiatives in “industrial chain collaboration” and “green and digital globalization.” Mr. Zheng highly praised CMEC Group’s integrated development model—leveraging its full-chain advantages to deeply integrate advanced equipment manufacturing, research institutes, and overseas engineering projects—as fully aligned with the requirements of high-quality BRI cooperation. He affirmed that CCCME will continue to leverage its institutional resources and industry influence, utilizing key platforms such as the Conference on International Industrial Cooperation, to build bridges among members and facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships.

Also attending the meeting were representatives from CCCME’s Department of Strategy and Engineering, Machinery Industry Department, Expert Committee, and International Industrial Cooperation Service Center, as well as senior officials from CMEC Group’s Operations Management Department.
