On September 11, Wang Bo, Assistant to the President of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), Party Secretary and Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), visited Wuxi to hold talks with Hua Xiaofeng, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Wuxi Guolian Development (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Guolian Group”). Also present at the meeting were Chen Jun, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group; Jiang Zhijian, Party Committee Member of Guolian Group and Party Secretary and Chairman of Wuxi Huaguang Environment & Energy Group Co., Ltd. (WHEE); and Mao Junhua, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of WHEE.

Hua Xiaofeng welcomed Wang Bo and his delegation, and introduced Guolian Group’s development history, core business sectors, progress in innovation-driven transformation, and strategic development direction. He emphasized that Guolian Group and its subsidiary WHEE highly value their deep friendship and strategic partnership with CMEC Group and its member enterprises. The two sides have already established multi-level, cross-sector cooperation. Zhongshe Guolian Wuxi New Energy Development Co., Ltd., a joint venture between the two parties, has achieved remarkable success since its inception and has emerged as a model joint venture. Hua Xiaofeng noted that CMEC Group and its subsidiaries possess world-class capabilities in consulting, engineering design, and EPC project delivery, as well as strong international competitiveness. He expressed that Guolian Group will fully leverage its technological innovation advantages in the energy and environmental sectors, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with CMEC Group to jointly expand into broader domestic and international markets, achieving synergistic development and mutual benefit.

Wang Bo, on behalf of CMEC Group, expressed gratitude for the long-standing trust and support from Guolian Group and WHEE. He introduced CMEC Group’s historical evolution, achievements in reform and development, and core business operations. Leveraging SINOMACH’s robust R&D capabilities and industrial foundation, CMEC Group integrates strengths in surveying, design, consulting, equipment R&D and manufacturing, and specialized construction and installation. It delivers internationally competitive, full-value-chain “one-stop” engineering services through capabilities in large-scale industrial project development, project financing, and internal and external resource integration. Wang Bo highlighted that Guolian Group is a leading state-owned enterprise in Wuxi, with a strong reputation, extensive experience in market-oriented operations, and valuable local resources. He expressed hope for expanding project collaboration, and proposed in-depth discussions on overseas expansion of advanced manufacturing, complementary industrial strengths, collaborative technological innovation, and enhanced capital cooperation. The two sides conducted a comprehensive analysis of industry development trends and explored future opportunities, aiming to advance practical cooperation and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
