On August 18, Mr. Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), met with H.E. Mr. Adama Dosso, Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the People’s Republic of China, and his delegation at the company’s headquarters. The meeting took place on the eve of Ambassador Dosso’s departure from China and served as a key stop on his farewell tour of major Chinese enterprises with operations in Côte d’Ivoire, underscoring the Ivorian government’s high regard for Chinese companies and bilateral cooperation projects.

Fang warmly welcomed Ambassador Dosso and his delegation. He provided a comprehensive overview of CMEC Group’s development in Côte d’Ivoire, with particular emphasis on a number of major projects successfully implemented in the country. On behalf of the company, Mr. Fang expressed sincere appreciation to Ambassador Dosso for his invaluable support and assistance in advancing these projects during his tenure. He also extended heartfelt congratulations on the Ambassador’s recent appointment as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and expressed his best wishes for continued success in his new role. Fang voiced confidence that Ambassador Dosso would continue to serve as a vital bridge for further strengthening China–Côte d’Ivoire economic cooperation and friendship.

Ambassador Dosso spoke highly of CMEC Group’s achievements in Côte d’Ivoire. He expressed his deep gratitude for the company’s strong support throughout his tenure and reaffirmed that the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in China would continue to facilitate the development of Chinese enterprises in the country.

Mr. Hirtchet Richard Morton Lorou, Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in China, and other officials accompanied the Ambassador on the visit. Representatives from CMEC Group’s 8th Complete Plants Division also attended the meeting.
