CMEC Group Elected Vice Chair Unit of the Chinese Council of the China-Central Asia Entrepreneurs Committee
On June 17, the Second China-Central Asia Summit was held at the Palace of Independence in Astana. President Xi Jinping attended the summit and delivered a keynote speech. In parallel with the summit, the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) convened the inaugural meeting of the Chinese Council of the China-Central Asia Entrepreneurs Committee, aiming to implement the key outcomes of the summit and promote deeper, more pragmatic cooperation between the business communities of China and the five Central Asian countries. At the meeting, China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group) was elected Vice Chair unit of the Committee’s Chinese Council, and Mr. Wang Bo, Chairman of CMEC Group, was appointed as Vice Chair of the Council.
Over the years, subsidiaries of CMEC Group—including CMEC, CAMCE, CNEEC, and IPPR—have delivered a number of landmark projects across Central Asia. These contributions have played a vital role in building a closer China–Central Asia community with a shared future. CMEC Group’s election as Vice Chair unit is CCOIC’s strong recognition of the Group’s professional capabilities. CMEC Group will fully fulfill its responsibilities within the Council and continue to contribute to the implementation of the outcomes of the Second Summit.
