CMEC Group Financing Service Platform Hosts Lecture on International Project Financing
To promote the implementation of overseas project development and financing, support the company’s talent development strategy, and enhance employee professional capabilities, the Finance Management Department of CMEC, headquarters of CMEC Group, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department, recently held a session of the CMEC Group “Financing Service Platform” Lecture Series. The event featured a special lecture by a team of experts from DBS Bank Singapore, themed “Empowering a World-Class Engineering Enterprise through Excellence in Project Financing.” Mr. Tian Zheng, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Financial Officer of CMEC Group, attended the event and delivered opening remarks.
In his speech, Mr. Tian noted that traditional financing models for overseas projects are facing unprecedented challenges due to current global economic conditions and rising sovereign debt risks. He emphasized that project financing—characterized by economic self-sufficiency, limited recourse, and structured risk allocation—has become the mainstream financing model for infrastructure projects. He encouraged all departments and subsidiaries of CMEC Group to actively explore overseas project financing opportunities and contribute to the Group’s high-quality and resilient development.
The DBS expert team provided a comprehensive and practical overview of project financing theories in the international infrastructure sector, drawing on recent project financing cases jointly undertaken with CMEC Group. They also addressed specific financing challenges faced by member enterprises during overseas project development, offering in-depth solutions and insights. The lecture was rich in content and received enthusiastic feedback from participants, effectively supporting member enterprises in advancing international project financing efforts.
More than 200 employees from CMEC Group’s affiliated companies—including CMEC, CAMCE, CUC, SINOCONST, and CNEEC—attended the session in person or via video link.
