On the morning of April 29, Fang Yanshui, deputy Party secretary and general manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), had in-depth exchanges with Cui Yan, Party secretary, chairman and general manager of Sinochem Environment, on the topics of environmental governance, resource recycling and overseas water market development at Sinochem Environment.

Cui Yan expressed his warm welcome to Fang Yanshui and introduced Sinochem Environment’s main business scope, featured technical capabilities and typical projects. Cui said that the two sides have good cooperation in seawater desalination projects under the guidance of the strategic agreement. He hoped to utilize Sinochem Environment’s technical advantages in water affairs, waste disposal & recycling, environmental restoration and atmospheric governance to further the cooperation with CMEC Group and provide it with multi-dimensional overseas support in technologies, products and solutions.

Mr. Fang Yanshui thanked Mr. Cui Yan for his warm reception and introduced CMEC Group’s business development in the sectors. He noted the strong business complementarity between the two companies. CMEC Group has a wealth of overseas project performance and customer resources from many years of overseas business. In recent years, CMEC Group has made great progress in overseas water services, laying a more solid foundation for its cooperation with Sinochem Environment. Fang expected that the two enterprises would further their overseas cooperation in seawater desalination, sewage treatment, contaminated soil disposal and remediation, mining and mineral processing, and empower each other to boost the high-quality development of overseas business.

Also attending the meeting were heads of CMEC’s Operation Management Department, Engineering Management Department, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th Complete Plants Divisions, and Water Affairs Centre as well as China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC).
