On April 24, Fang Yanshui, deputy Party secretary and general manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), was invited to attend China International Contracting Conference & Development Forum 2025.

With the title of Innovation Breakthrough, Professional Empowerment and Synergy: CMEC Group’s Exploration of Overseas Business Transformation and Upgrading, Mr. Fang Yanshui introduced the Group’s experience of leveraging its overall advantages and conducting cooperation to develop international projects in multiple fields. In his speech, Fang proposed that the international engineering industry should play a responsible role in responding to US containment and suppression. He also made recommendations for government authorities, financial institutions and industry organizations in supporting the development of the international engineering industry.

During the meeting, relevant policies and measures were introduced by government departments like the Office of the National Belt and Road Leadership Team, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and China International Development Cooperation Agency as well as financial institutions such as the Export-Import Bank of China and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE). Academician Ma Guoxin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts, scholars and heads of industry-leading enterprises held discussions on the theme of Innovation-driven Synergy and Convergence for New Drivers of High-quality Industry Development under the New Context.
