Fang Yanshui Meets with Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Energy
On March 24, Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), welcomed a delegation led by Ilyas Bakytzhan, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at CMEC Group headquarters (CMEC). The two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation in Kazakhstan's energy, natural gas, and industrial sectors.
Fang Yanshui extended a warm welcome to Deputy Minister Bakytzhan and his delegation, providing a comprehensive overview of CMEC Group's business operations and core competencies in Russian-speaking markets. He emphasized that as a world-leading engineering contractor and technical service provider, CMEC Group has successfully delivered multiple flagship projects in Kazakhstan and other Russian-speaking countries, spanning power generation, chemical processing, industrial facilities, and infrastructure development. These achievements have laid a solid foundation for deepening China-Kazakhstan cooperation.
Deputy Minister Bakytzhan spoke highly of CMEC Group's professional capabilities and international experience. He noted that Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy has been particularly impressed by CMEC Group's completed projects in Russian-speaking regions, which have not only significantly upgraded local energy infrastructure but also earned strong trust from governments and enterprises through efficient project execution and green technology applications. The Deputy Minister stressed that Kazakhstan is actively advancing its energy diversification strategy and industrial modernization transformation. He expressed hope that CMEC Group would leverage its technological expertise, financial strength, and industrial chain integration capabilities to participate extensively in Kazakhstan's natural gas processing, renewable energy development, and smart industrial park planning and construction.
