Recently, Xu Jian, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of SINOMACH, led a delegation to JK Institute, a subsidiary of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), for an inspection visit and strategic consultation. Accompanying the visit were Chen Fan, Deputy General Manager of CMEC Group; Xue Jilin, Director of the Science and Technology Management Department of SINOMACH's Science and Technology Development Division; Sun Wei, Director of the Science and Technology Development Department of CMEC Group; and Wang Jianning, Head of the Science and Technology Management Department of SINOMACH's Science and Technology Development Division.

During the symposium, Shao Xuekui, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of JK Institute, provided a detailed report on the institute's overall scientific and technological efforts in accelerating its integration into the industrial and value chains of CMEC Group, driven by the group's innovation strategy. He highlighted major research projects in the fields of engineering technical services, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) and full-process consulting, and innovative business areas, while systematically outlining future research directions based on existing technological strengths. Several research teams also presented specialized reports on market demands, research foundations, and content related to their respective research directions.

Academician Xu Jian highly praised JK Institute's profound achievements in technological innovation. He noted that the institute has cultivated four National Engineering Survey and Design Masters, with its comprehensive engineering survey capabilities ranking among the top in China. Regarding the future development of scientific research, he emphasized the importance of aligning with national strategic directions and market demands, strengthening the integration of internal and external resources, focusing on precise breakthroughs in advantageous fields, and forming differentiated innovation pathways.

During the visit, Academician Xu Jian and his team conducted an on-site inspection of the Xi'an City Wall Cultural Heritage Protection Project, in which JK Institute is involved. They gained in-depth insights into the progress of scientific research and the achievements in research platform construction, and visited the Xi'an City Wall Digital Cabin Integrated Management Platform and the Cultural Heritage Protection Laboratory.

This research visit has accelerated CMEC Group's transformation into a "technology-driven professional engineering company," aiming for high-quality and resilient development. The group will live up to SINOMACH's expectations by accelerating the construction of a scientific research and innovation support system that covers the entire group and reflects its unique characteristics. This includes optimizing the allocation of technological innovation resources, increasing effective investment in scientific research and innovation, and enhancing the transformation of research outcomes. These efforts will better serve member enterprises and affiliated companies, further strengthen their distinctive professional competitive advantages, and inject strong momentum into SINOMACH's high-quality development.
