From February 17 to 19, Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), visited Japan at the invitation of Ichiro Kashitani, President and CEO of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, for high-level talks and on-site inspections.

During the visit, Fang Yanshui and President Kashitani had extensive and in-depth discussions on ongoing projects, in-progress projects and potential collaboration opportunities between the two sides. Fang highlighted that CMEC Group's headquarters (CMEC) and Toyota Tsusho have significant complementarities in multiple areas, especially in traditional power transmission and transformation, wind power, solar energy, geothermal energy, energy storage, seawater desalination, water services, and related infrastructure. He emphasized the immense potential for collaboration. The two companies, he said, could further expand their global market presence, share industrial opportunities, and advance pragmatic cooperation.

President Kashitani highly praised CMEC's ability to execute projects and expand markets worldwide, expressing a strong willingness to deepen regional cooperation and expand the scope of collaboration with CMEC.

During the visit, the Fang-led delegation was invited to visit Toyota Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Toyota Metal Co., Ltd., where they learned about the latest technologies and business models in the field of resource recycling. This visit provided fresh insights for potential future collaboration between the two sides in environmental protection and sustainable development.

While in Japan, Fang Yanshui also paid a visit to Wu Jianghao, the Chinese Ambassador to Japan. He reported on CMEC Group's business activities in Japan and its cooperation with Toyota Tsusho. Ambassador Wu expressed high praise for CMEC Group's successful collaboration with Japanese companies and fully endorsed the tripartite cooperation model.

During the trip, Fang Yanshui took the opportunity to gain insights into the operations and development of CMEC Group's subsidiaries in Japan, offering specific guidance on their ongoing reforms and future business directions.

The head of CMEC's Sixth Complete Plant Department accompanied Fang Yanshui in related activities and meetings.
