Implementing the Spirit of the FOCAC Summit | Luo Qianyi Visits Angola to Promote SINOMACH’s Deep Industry Cooperation with African Countries

To implement the spirit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit and promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "going global" strategy for Chinese equipment, Luo Qianyi, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of SINOMACH, led a delegation to Angola from November 4 to 7. During the visit, Luo met with the Chinese ambassador to Angola and Angolan officials, surveyed SINOMACH projects, visited staff, and conducted safety inspections. Accompanying him were Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CMEC Group; Yang Xuegui, Deputy Director of the Operations Management Department of SINOMACH; and Xue Wenpu, Deputy General Manager of YTO Group Corporation.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi met with Zhang Bin, Chinese Ambassador to Angola; Arlindo Carlos, Secretary of State for Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Water of Angola; Belsa Costa, Secretary of State for Water at the Ministry of Energy and Water of Angola; and António Assis, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Angola.
While meeting with Luo Qianyi, Ambassador Zhang Bin introduced the prospects for Sino-Angolan economic and trade development and praised SINOMACH's achievements in the Angolan market. Zhang hoped that SINOMACH would continue to boost Sino-Angolan economic and trade cooperation with its professional capabilities. Luo Qianyi expressed gratitude for the consistent support provided by the Chinese Embassy in Angola to SINOMACH's business operations in the country and emphasized the company's commitment to implementing the spirit of the FOCAC summit and further developing its business in Angola.
During Luo Qianyi's visit to the Ministry of Energy and Water, the two State Secretaries highly praised SINOMACH's power and water projects in Angola and hoped that SINOMACH would continue to contribute to Angola's infrastructure construction, operation and maintenance services, and personnel training. Luo Qianyi thanked the Ministry of Energy and Water for its support of CMEC over the past two decades and provided a detailed introduction to SINOMACH's industry advantages and market competitiveness. The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in the fields of power, water, and photovoltaic-fishery integration.
In his meeting with Minister António Assis, Luo Qianyi comprehensively introduced SINOMACH's professional capabilities in the agricultural machinery business and expressed the company's wish to undertake agricultural projects in Angola and provide comprehensive services for Angola's agricultural development. Minister Assis fully recognized SINOMACH's professional capabilities and provided a detailed introduction to Angola's overall agricultural planning. Both sides agreed on the direction for future agricultural cooperation.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi organized a symposium for SINOMACH's enterprises in Angola, focusing on market expansion, business development, work plans of the next steps of work, and the opportunities and challenges of international business. Luo highly commended the achievements of SINOMACH's enterprises in Angola over the years and encouraged them to deeply implement the spirit of the FOCAC summit, focusing on specialized operations and local development, enhancing collaboration, and promoting the "going global" strategy for SINOMACH's agricultural machinery brands. He emphasized the importance of making new contributions to the advancement of Sino-African economic and trade cooperation.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi also inspected the Soyo Combined Cycle Power Plant construction and installation project and the Luanda Ganduabo Phase III Water Treatment Plant project undertaken by CMEC in Angola. He thoroughly reviewed the project implementation, checked construction safety, extended warm greetings to the hardworking project execution and maintenance teams, and gave high praise for the project outcomes.
