Implementing the Spirit of the FOCAC Summit | Luo Qianyi Visits Côte d'Ivoire to Promote SINOMACH’s Deep Industry Cooperation with African Countries

To implement the spirit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit and promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "going global" strategy for Chinese equipment, Luo Qianyi, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of SINOMACH, led a delegation to Côte d'Ivoire from November 1 to 4. During the visit, Luo met with the Chinese ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire and Ivorian officials, surveyed SINOMACH projects, visited staff, and conducted safety inspections. Accompanying him were Fang Yanshui, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CMEC Group; Yang Xuegui, Deputy Director of the Operations Management Department of SINOMACH; and Xue Wenpu, Deputy General Manager of YTO Group Corporation.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi met with Wu Jie, Chinese Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire; Nawa Yang, Deputy Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development of Côte d'Ivoire; and Constant Koffi, Vice President of the Côte d'Ivoire Energy Company.
In his meeting with Ambassador Wu Jie, Luo Qianyi expressed gratitude for the consistent support provided by the Chinese Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire to SINOMACH's business operations in the country. He emphasized SINOMACH's commitment to implementing the spirit of the FOCAC summit and further developing its business in Côte d'Ivoire. Ambassador Wu Jie highly commended SINOMACH's performance in Côte d'Ivoire and hoped that the company would leverage its market advantages in agriculture, power, and energy to deepen Sino-Ivorian economic and trade cooperation, strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
During the meeting with Deputy Minister Nawa Yang, Luo Qianyi stated that SINOMACH would fully utilize its strengths in mechanical equipment to align with Côte d'Ivoire's national development strategy and continue to deepen cooperation with the Ivorian government and enterprises in various fields, contributing to local industrialization. Both sides had in-depth and specific discussions on cooperation in agriculture, textiles, power and energy, and infrastructure.
When meeting with Luo Qianyi, Vice President Constant Koffi of the Côte d'Ivoire Energy Company expressed satisfaction with SINOMACH's grid development and renovation projects in Côte d'Ivoire and praised the company's market competitiveness and high-quality service capabilities. He introduced Côte d'Ivoire's power and energy development plan and expressed a desire to strengthen cooperation with SINOMACH in power generation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy. Both sides had in-depth discussions on project progress and agreed on the next steps for project implementation.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi organized a symposium for SINOMACH's enterprises in Côte d'Ivoire, focusing on the implementation of the FOCAC summit spirit, enhancing international business capabilities, and expanding and developing business in the Côte d'Ivoire market. Luo highly commended the achievements of SINOMACH's enterprises in Côte d'Ivoire and encouraged them to continue leveraging their strengths and deeply engaging in the Côte d'Ivoire market. He emphasized the importance of strategic thinking and systematic approaches in market development; internal coordination to leverage SINOMACH's overall capabilities; talent team building and business management standardization to better enhance SINOMACH's brand image in overseas markets.
During the visit, Luo Qianyi also inspected the YTO Group Côte d'Ivoire agricultural machinery assembly company and several project sites undertaken by CMEC Group, including the Yamoussoukro National Power Dispatch Center, the 90 kV substation expansion project, and the concrete pole production base. He thoroughly reviewed the project implementation, checked workplace safety, and extended warm greetings to the hardworking Chinese and Ivorian employees. He encouraged everyone to focus on business operations, construction, and service work.
