After conducting field surveys and listening to the reports, Fang stated that Bangladesh is a traditional market for CMEC. As the first Chinese company making investments in Bangladesh, CMEC has completed several key projects in different industries since the 1980s, making significant contributions to the people’s wellbeing and economic development of the country. In recent years, CMEC has once again focused on developing the Bangladeshi market. The frontline team has overcome many difficulties, once again established extensive and close cooperative relationships with government departments at all levels and owners, and has successively developed several representative projects in different industries. CMEC fully affirms this and hopes that all its employees in Bangladesh continue to work hard to make substantial progress in all projects.
After that, Fang put forward requirements on the garbage power project in Dhaka North, stressing that it is of great significance as the first project independently invested, constructed, and operated by CMEC. In the past two years of planning and promotion, the departments of CMEC worked together and achieved initial results. Next, the investment team will further make overall and meticulous plans, and try its best to accelerate high-quality construction, increase economic and social benefits, and create a sustainable benchmark project for improving people's wellbeing. Finally, he made specific requirements for the investment team and the construction team on establishing a complete system for workplace safety and strictly implementing the system from different perspectives.
Fang visited Member of Parliament and Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Tazul, and Mayor of Dhaka North Atiqul Islam, and all of them praised the projects that CMEC has completed in Bangladesh over the years and expressed their anticipation for more cooperations in the future. Fang thanked them for their trust and supports for CMEC over the years. He said that CMEC attaches great importance to the Bangladeshi market, focusing on industries and fields that have a significant impact on infrastructure, the people's living standards, and economic sustainability in recent years. He mentioned that CMEC is planning and creating sustainable, green projects to benefit the Bangladeshi people and help Bangladesh maintain its rapid economic development. All of them highly appreciated what Fang said and made in-depth discussions on the development and planning of various aspects such as new energy, urban renewal, and environmental protection.
After that, Fang led the delegation to visit Chinese Ambassador to Bangladeshi Yao Wen and Counsellor Song Yang at the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh.
