CMEC Group Signs Jinzhou Zero Carbon Industrial Park Project Cooperation Agreement
On January 8, CMEC Group Assistant General Manager Li Mingqiang attended the meeting for centralized signing of key projects themed on “Join Hands to Win a Future”, and signed the Jinzhou Zero Carbon Industrial Park Project Cooperation Agreement on behalf of CMEC Group with the government of Guta District of Jinzhou City and Windey Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Windey Stock”). Liu Kewu, Secretary of Jinzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Xinyu, Deputy Secretary of Jinzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Jinzhou, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, respectively.
Li made an official visit to Liu and Wang before the meeting.
Liu thanked CMEC Group for its active participation in the economic development of Jinzhou and support for implementing the requirement put forward by Hao Peng, Secretary of CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, namely “Guided by the Three-Year Action Plan for Making New Breakthroughs in Comprehensive Revitalization, and Write a Brillant Chapter on Advancing Chinese Modernization in Liaoning”.
Li reviewed CMEC Group’s preparatory work for rapid implementation of the project with the assistance of leaders of Jinzhou city and Guta District since it signed the framework agreement with the municipal government of Jinzhou on investment in the zero-carbon industrial park in August 2023. He expressed the hope for fully launching the zero-carbon industrial park project so as to give a strong boost to implementing China’s “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” and promoting high-quality development of Jinzhou.
Jointly invested by CMEC Group and Windey Stock, the project is aimed to develop an industrial demonstration zone for integrated energy carbon neutrality featuring “one zone, one park and innovation in multiple fields”.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Secretary of CPC Guta District Committee Jiao Jian, Guta District Mayor You Yuan, principal leaders of the development and reform commission, bureau of industry and information technology and bureau of natural resources, as well as responsible persons of relevant departments of CMEC Group Headquarter.
