On December 15, the completion ceremony of the Bolivian Uyuni lithium carbonate plant project undertaken by CMEC was held. Bolivian President Luis Arce attended the ceremony. It represents an important step in the economic history of Bolivia, and implies that the country's economy is no longer solely dependent on oil and gas energy but is moving towards diversified development. It is expected to provide more high-quality income sources for the public.
When visiting the plant, Arce operated discharging and packaging of lithium carbonate products in person under the guidance of technicians, praised the highly automated equipment and high-quality construction of the plant, and said that “we have overcome great difficulties, and the completion of the project indicates that Bolivia has officially entered the process of lithium industrialization.”
