At present, the international shipping market is complex and changeable, with many uncontrollable factors in shipping cost and transportation cycle. In order to ensure that the equipment and materials urgently needed for the project arrive at the construction site in time, the CMEC Project Department worked closely with China Railway Materials International Group Corporation (CRM), Wuhan China Railway Yitong Logistics Co., Ltd (Wuhan Yitong) and CMEC Comtrans International Co., Ltd (CMEC COMTRANS), and after comprehensive consideration of many factors such as transportation route environment, container stowage, etc. and careful investigation, calculation and deployment, worked out a special transportation plan to use the China-Europe train. This scheme will greatly reduce transportation cost and shorten transportation cycle to provide an important support for accomplishing the major milestones of the project as scheduled.
The Kostolac power station a key project under the China-Serbia Cooperation Framework Agreement, and also the largest energy project in Serbia since the country was founded.
