Recently, the Iraqi Salah Al-Din 2X630MW Oil-fired/Gas-fired Power Station No.1 Unit, for which CMEC serves as a general contractor, has passed the 720-hour reliability test. During the test, all systems of the unit operated steadily with excellent performance indicators, laying a solid foundation for realizing the goal of delivery of the No.1 unit within this year.

It is the largest electric project of Iraq. The operation of the No.1 unit has greatly solved the problem of electric power shortage in the country, winning high praises from the owner. CMEC will sum up the valuable experience in the construction of the No.1 unit, strive to make the No.2 unit generate electricity as soon as possible and ensure its successful handover, and make the project a monumental work in the “Belt & Road” China-Iraq cooperation.
