CMEC Signs Mongolian National Backbone Network, Radio Monitoring and State Laboratory Project
Recently, CMEC and the Information Communication Network LLC signed an EPC turnkey contract on the Mongolian national backbone network, radio monitoring and state laboratory project.
It is the third phase of the network transformation project of Mongolia. CMEC is responsible for design, procurement and construction of the radio monitoring and direction-finding system for relevant stations and the state laboratory in a turnkey form, and will renovate and expand the national broadband network of the country.
Significance of the project
The project, upon its completion, will significantly enhance the level of market application and monitoring management of radio spectrum of Mongolia, improve the electromagnetic compatibility of radio-frequency products and the detectability of radio frequency labs, and help increase the overall level of the country’s services of IT applications.
The project has been highly valued by the Chinese and Mongolian governments, and guided and strongly supported by competent authorities and trade organizations including China’s Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, as well as the Export-Import Bank of China. It is CMEC's first preferential export buyer's credit project in Mongolia, a successful effort of CMEC and its partners in new technologies and new fields, and another achievement of CMEC in advocating for the “Digital Silk Road” Initiative.
