Multiple Mainstream Media Report CMEC’s New Signing
CMEC has recently signed an investment agreement on the North Dhaka City’s waste-to-energy project with the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the North Dhaka City Government, the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Power Development Board. After completion, the project is expected to become South Asia’s largest waste-to-energy plant.

The Bengali Department of China Media Group released a graphic and video report “A New Story of China-Bangladesh Green Energy Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative” via CRI Online and Facebook, introducing the project. The project is a cost-effective way for North Dhaka City to address environmental issues and a model of cooperation in the power sector, symbolizing the joint efforts of both sides to steer the global economy towards a green, sustainable and inclusive recovery in the post-pandemic era.
