CMEC Showcases Cooperation Achievements at the 2nd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

On September 26, the 2nd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was unveiled in Changsha. The Expo with the theme of “New Start, New Opportunities, New Accomplishments” has hosted a series of activities in key areas such as infrastructure, financial cooperation and industrial chain cooperation.

CMEC has attached great importance to the event and made arrangements by participating in designing SINOMACH’s booth and assisting in the organization and implementation. At the exhibition, CMEC displayed its achievements in cooperating with African countries at the booth of SINOMACH. The accomplishments included the Sanaga drinking water plant and its supporting projects in Yaounde, Cameroon, undertaken by the 6th Complete Plants Division, the Ethiopia Lebi Garbage Power Station project by CNEEC and drones of the JK Institute, capturing the attention of guests from across the world.

The 102MW Kipeto wind power project in Kenya was built by the 4th Complete Plants Division, becoming a bright card of cooperation in infrastructure at the “China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Achievement Exhibition”.

Relevant personnel from the Department of Strategic Development and Coordinated Management, the 4th Complete Plants Division and the 6th Complete Plants Division participated in the China-Africa Infrastructure Cooperation Forum, the China-Africa Industrial Park Promotion Meeting and the Promotion Meeting for African Countries, respectively.
