CMEC Leader Attends Video Meeting by Pakistani Prime Minister

On July 5, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan held a video conference with representatives of major Chinese enterprises, with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and heads of Pakistani ministries and commissions also attending the meeting. Fang Yanshui, deputy Party secretary and general manager of CMEC, delivered a speech virtually.

Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed all participating companies and appreciated the achievements of Chinese enterprises in the infrastructure construction of Pakistan and their remarkable contributions to containing the COVID-19 and restoring the economic development of Pakistan. The Prime Minister said the Pakistani government would continue to take measures to attract Chinese investment, strengthen cooperation in production capacity and create favourable conditions for Chinese enterprises to operate in the country.

In his speech, Fang Yanshui reviewed CMEC’s development of electrical energy in Pakistan, highlighted CMEC’s current progress and planning for agricultural cooperation with the country and expressed the willingness to continue and deepen development in the agricultural cooperation between China and Pakistan.
