At 05:03 on May 17, 2021, rotation rate of the Unit 1 steam turbine of SALAH-ALDEEN 2x600MW Oil-gas-fired Power Plant in Iraq was successfully raised to the rated speed of 3000 rpm, with all equipment of the system operating smoothly.

This marks that the start-up and trial operation of Unit 1 has achieved phased success, which lays a solid foundation for 720-hour trial operation and grid-connected power generation of the unit.
