The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products (CCCME) held an "International Industrial Cooperation Conference and Inauguration Ceremony of the Expert Committee of CCCME in Beijing on March 19. Tong Zigang, deputy general manager of CMEC, attended the event as a representative of key member enterprises, and Shi Jiantao, general manager of the 2nd Complete Plants Division, was appointed as a member of the expert committee.

Important people attending the event include Zhang Xiangchen, Vice Minister of Commerce; Long Yongtu, former Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and Chief Negotiator for China's Re-entry into WTO; Chen Jian, former Vice Minister of Commerce and member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; and Zheng Chao, Director of Expert Committee of CCCME. More than 100 guests, including members of the Expert Committee of CCCME, representatives of key member enterprises and contracted partners, attended the offline activities. Leaders of foreign industry organizations and about 4,000 people from domestic and foreign enterprises watched the event in real time through live webcasts.
