The 6th Council Meeting of the 7th China International Contractors Association (also the Association’s 2020 Industry Annual Meeting) was held on December 24 in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. CMEC Party secretary and general manager Fang Yanshui and deputy general manager Xie Ke attended the meeting and related activities. On the previous day, Fang Qiuchen, president of the Association, paid a visit to JK Institute for investigation.

At the meeting, CICA president Fang Qiuchen delivered a work report titled "Strengthen Confidence, Brave Difficulties, and Open a New Chapter of Industry Development in the 14th Five-Year Plan Period". He pointed out that China's international contracting and labor cooperation industry is facing severe challenges due to unfavorable factors such as the continuous spread of Covid-19. CICA member enterprises overcome difficulties and forge ahead, and the industry shows strong development resilience and vitality, he said. In 2021, the first year of China's "14th Five-Year Plan", member enterprises should identify the development orientation, adhere to innovation-driven development, promote the integration of investment, construction and operation, strengthen localized management, tighten compliance management, expand third-party market cooperation, find new opportunities, create new development patterns, and strive to achieve high-quality sustainable development of the industry while fighting against the pandemic, he required. At the meeting, CMEC was awarded the title of "International Contractor with AAA Credit Rating in 2020". CMEC deputy general manager Xie Ke attended a series of activities of the meeting on behalf of the company and communicated with leaders of participating enterprises.

In the investigation on December 23, Zhang Yu, director of Project Contracting Management Department of SINOMACH, Fang Yanshui, General Manager of CMEC, Huang Yuming, Chairman of JK Institute, and Yang Yonglin, General Manager of JK Institute, introduced the business development and professional advantages of JK Institute to President Fang Qiuchen. Fang highly acknowledged the technical level and achievements of the Institute and put forward suggestions on its international business development in the future.
