On September 15, the CPC CMEC Committee organized the members of the Party Center Group for Centralized Theoretical Study & Special Study Class to study the CPC Regulations on the Community-level Organizational Work of State-owned Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations), the Work Rules of Party Committees of SINOMACH’s Subsidiaries at All Levels (hereinafter referred to as the Rules), and the CPCCC's Proposals for the Formulation of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 (hereinafter referred to as the Proposals, watched the warning education film entitled Remain True to Our Original Aspiration, and made discussions on it. Chaired by CMEC Party Secretary and Chairman Bai Shaotong, the activity was attended by members of the CPC CMEC Committee and the leading group of CMEC, as well as SINOMACH Second Accredited Supervisory Board Chairman Zhang Hong, SINOMACH Second Accredited Supervisory Board official Yu Pengwei and CMEC executives who are not members of the leading group of CMEC.

Led by CMEC Deputy Party Secretary Ai Wei, the participants studied the Regulations and the Rules. Ai expounded on the background of the formulation of the documents, as well as the significance, basic framework, main contents, and key chapters of the documents, and talked about her experience in studying the documents on the basis of CMEC’s Party building work. Led by Xie Ke, Member of the CPC CMEC Committee and CMEC Vice General Manager, the participants studied the Proposals. Xie expounded on the significance, main contents and the parts closely related to CMEC’s development and transformation of the Proposals, and talked about his experience in the study and thoughts on future work on the basis of the work he is in charge of.

The participants watched the section related to integrity of SOE leaders of a warning education film entitled Remain True to Our Original Aspirations. After that, CMEC Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary Jing Xinbao made a speech on the theme of “strengthen the political ability, develop fine traditions, and increase the capability to perform duties”, emphasizing the importance of capacity building of leading officials, upholding integrity in duty performance, and improving the work style.

CMEC Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager Fang Yanshui, on the basis of the study, talked about the general thoughts about how to make the business operations and development of CMEC conform to the major policies of the Party and the country in 2021 and the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and discussed with other participants about the two circulations, reform of the supply end, the industrial chain and the supply chain.

On the basis of the study and the work they are in charge of, other leaders made speeches on the topics of the guiding principles of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Party building, direction of business operations, the 14th Five-Year Plan, and ensuring steady domestic and overseas operations, etc.

Bai, on the basis of the warning education film, once again required the leaders to conduct cleanly, talked about his experience in studying the Regulations, Rules, and the Proposals. Meanwhile, Bai required the new leading group of the CPC CMEC Committee to have the courage for and take the responsibilities for overcoming the difficulties and challenges that CMEC is faced with, to have a sense of crisis and a sense of mission, fulfill all of their duties, effectively give play to their leading roles, and make contributions to the high-quality development of CMEC.

The Party Center Group for Centralized Theoretical Study & Special Study Class is the first centralized study of the new leading group of the CPC CMEC Committee, and an in-depth study and symposium for putting into practice the guiding principles of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and jointly planning the high-quality development of CMEC.
