On the afternoon of August 26, the Maldivian Embassy in China hosts a ceremony in Beijing to celebrate Maldives’ 55th anniversary of independence. Participants to the event were foreign diplomats in China including Maldivian Ambassador to China Aishath Azeema, Afghan ambassador to China, Bangladeshi ambassador to China, Indian ambassador to China, Nepalese ambassador to China, deputy ambassador of Sri Lanka to China, and Charge D'affaires of the Pakistan Embassy in China, as well as representatives of China-invested enterprises. CMEC Deputy General Manager Fan Rong was invited to attend the event.

Aishath Azeema made a speech at the ceremony. Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid delivered video messages, respectively.

After the ceremony, Fan had a cordial talk with Aishath Azeema, extended best regards to the ambassador on behalf of CMEC, and hoped that the two sides further deepen their cooperation in relevant fields in the future.
