Release time:2020-07-25 Article source: Reading times: A+AA-

At 18:57, July 24 (local time), thanks to the continuous high-efficient construction that lasted for three days and two nights, the turbine cover buckling of Unit 1 of 2X630MW Salah Al-Din T.P.S project, which is undertaken by CMEC, was successfully completed.

Organized and coordinated by leaders at all levels, the project office worked in unity, delivered the steam turbine rotors from Iraqi to China, where it inspected and repaired them and returned them back to Iraq within several months, achieving the phased goal of turbine cover buckling of Unit 1, creating favorable conditions for subsequent unit adjustments and laying a solid foundation for start-up, operations and power generation of the entire unit.

The work began at 6:57, July 22, when the steam turbine room had a temperature of 40℃ and the preparatory work had been done: all the steam cylinders had been checked and cleaned, and there was no residue; all equipment in the steam cylinders were put neatly according to the hoisting order; all tools and instruments for cover buckling were tied up and put neatly on a tool table, a person was assigned to take charge of collection and recording of tools and instructions so as to ensure that no tool is left in the steam cylinders after cover buckling.

The whistle of the hoisting command personnel signaled the official start of the first hoisting of steam turbine cover of the No.1 unit. The high and intermediate pressure cylinder covers, low pressure cylinder cover (I) and low pressure cylinder cover (II) are buckled one by one. Two hoists and three cylinders were used for continuous buckling.

It is worth mentioning that everyone worked very hard during the buckling operation in spite of the high temperature in the steam turbine room and the heating of the bolt heaters. Thanks to their joint efforts, the members of the project office overcame the difficulties of the epidemic and high temperature and finally finished their work plan. In the future, they will continue to fight their way to balance pandemic prevention and control and production, live up to the great trust placed in them and strive to complete the work as soon as possible.
