On the afternoon of May 14, Bai Shaotong, Party secretary and chairman of CMEC, and Fang Yanshui, deputy Party secretary and general manager of CMEC, met with Xu Peng, deputy general manager of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC), coupled with the heads of Dongfang Boiler Group Co., Ltd. (DBG), Dongfang Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. (DST) and Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (DEM). The two sides held friendly talks on operation and production, business development and project cooperation.

　　DGM Xu introduced DEC’s overall operation in 2019, its good achievements in hydropower, new energy and clean energy and its next key direction. He hoped to keep deepening the industrial alliance relationship with CMEC, promote and give full play to the performance advantage and economy of home-grown equipment, explore new cooperation model in new technologies and new fields, and jointly expand the international market.

　　Fang Yanshui welcomed Xu Peng’s visit, congratulated DEC on its operating results in 2019, and briefed on CMEC’s overall situation in 2019. Fang pointed out that, amid the current grim market situation, both sides need to strengthen understanding, support and close cooperation, deepen the cooperation under the industrial alliance mechanism, and make concerted efforts to confront market challenges.

　　At the meeting, leaders of DBG, DST and DEM respectively introduced the production and operation of their enterprises and the scientific research and technological achievements and expressed their wish to proactively collaborate with each other and deepen cooperation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on specific project cooperation and development.
