In the face of the sudden outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China, the CMEC 3rd Complete Plant Division in Serbia stood together with their colleagues in China. After learning that the employees of Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute (CSEPDI, the design institute for the second phase of the Serbian KOSTOLAC-B Power Station Project) in Wuhan cannot work normally due to the epidemic and shortage of medical supplies, CMEC Serbia Company, organized and arranged by Ren Kailong, Deputy General Manager of the 3rd Complete Plant Division and General Manager of CMEC Serbia Company, actively responded to the call of CMEC and contacted immediately with Serbian suppliers to purchase medical protection materials.

Through extensive coordination and communications, a total of 3,000 medical masks in 21 cartons have been purchased and delivered to Wuhan via DHL on February 5, 2020. Huang Junjun, CSEPDI Design Representative in Serbia, on behalf of CSEPDI, thanked CMEC for its selfless help and said that we will surely win the battle against the epidemic by relying on the concerted efforts of all Chinese people around the world!

Meanwhile, all employees of CMEC Serbia Company who know the severity of the epidemic in China made donations voluntarily to epidemic prevention and control in China. As of February 7, 2020, a fund amounting to EUR 825 has been raised. The fund will be used for purchasing the second batch of materials for medical protection and delivered to the epidemic areas as soon as possible!
