During November 17-20, Fang Qiuchen, Chairman of China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), led a delegation of contractors to visit Bulgaria. CMEC Vice General Manager Zhang Jianguo and China-East Resources Import & Export Co., Ltd. General Manager Wang Longhai were members of the delegation. On its first day of visit to Bulgaria, the delegation paid a visit to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, and Economic and Commercial Counsellor Wang Xuekun introduced the overall situation, particularly the economic development of Bulgaria.

During the visit, the delegation and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly held “China-Bulgaria Infrastructure Investment and Cooperation Forum”. Also, the delegation held working talks with Bulgarian Energy Minister Petkova, Bulgarian Transport, Information Technology and Communications Vice Minister Angel Popov, Bulgarian Regional Development and Public Works Vice Minister Nikolay Nankov，and Bulgarian Economy Vice Minister Lachezar Borisov. Wang Xuekun attended the above activity. In addition, Zhang Jianguo and Wang Longhai attended Chinese and Bulgarian Entrepreneurs’ Forum and made friendly communications with the owner who had signed a port construction contractor with CMEC on follow-up implementation of the project.

Members of the delegation also include representatives from China Development Bank, The Export-Import Bank of China, China Communications Construction Company, Power Construction Corporation of China, China Railway International Group, China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, China Gezhouba Group, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., Beijing Urban Construction Group, Jiangsu Transportation Institute, Shandong Foreign Trade Corporation, and Zhenjiang International Economic and Technological Cooperation Company, etc.
