CMEC and Siemens Sign Agreement of Intention on Equipment Procurement

  On November 6, at the Chinese-Foreign Enterprise Cooperation Forum hosted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) during the 2nd China International Import Expo, witnessed by SASAC Chairman Hao Peng, Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong, SASAC Vice Chairman Ren Hongbin, SINOMACH Deputy General Manager Ding Hongxiang, and Siemens Power Generation CEO Karim Amin, CMEC Party Secretary and Chairman Zhang Chun and Senior Vice President Gas & Power at Siemens AG Marcus Brueckner, on behalf of the two sides, signed the Agreement of Intention on Purchase of Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine, under which CMEC plans to purchase two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines and one Siemens steam turbine for its Proton gas turbine power station project in Nigeria. The signing of the agreement of intention is another successful case in which CMEC cooperates with a well-known European partner to jointly develop projects in countries along the “Belt and Road” by using resources of foreign countries.

  Also present at the above activities were CMEC Deputy General Manager Fang Yanshui and Siemens Greater China Executive Vice President Executive Vice President Yao Zhenguo, and others.
