During March 1-4, CMEC Vice General Manager Zhang Wei visited the Maldives, where he inspected the site of the housing project (phase 3) of CMEC and made instructions on Party building and workplace safety. He inspected the site and gave technical guidance on the test work carried out by China Jikan Research Institute of Engineering Investigation and Design Co., Ltd. for research on characteristics of soil mass of reef limestone foundation. He visited Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Zhang Lizhong at the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives. Also, he made an official visit to Faisal·Naseem, Vice President of the Maldives, and the two sides made friendly discussions on the matters about CMEC’s assistance in formulation the national geotechnical standard of the Maldives and technological cooperation.
