CMEC Enmei Makes Donations to Flood Relief in Western Japan

In July 2018, 36 prefectures in Western Japan suffered floods that had not been seen for almost 30 years, killing and injuring nearly 220 people. Hundreds of thousands of people took refuge away from home. CMEC Enmei Co., Ltd. (CMEC Enmei for short) as the President Unit of China Enterprises Association in Japan (CEAJ) immediately organized CEAJ’s enterprises to participate in the fundraising activity for the flood disaster in Western Japan and took the lead in making donations to disaster relief. On July 13, on behalf of Chinese enterprises, Wang Jiaxun, President of CEAJ, visited Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and met with the Minister Seiko Noda, together with the Chinese Ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua, Chinese Consul General in Fukuoka, Chinese Consul General in Osaka and Chinese Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs. President Wang expressed condolences over the floods in Western Japan and made donations for disaster relief.
 
As a Japan-based company of CMEC, CMEC Enmei has proactively fulfilled its social responsibility and promoted friendly exchanges between Chinese and Japanese enterprises as well as between enterprises and society. It was recognized and highly praised by the Chinese Embassy in Japan, the Japanese government, and local media, and awarded the honorary credential for disaster relief presented by the Ambassador Cheng Yonghua in October 2018.
