First PV Panel Installed for a PV Power Station in Ukraine

At 12:00 local time on October 4, 2018, a ceremony was held for the installation of the first PV panel of a 246MW large solar power station in Nikopol, Ukraine, a joint investment project of CMEC and DTEK, the largest Ukrainian private energy company.
  
The ceremony was attended by Glick, counselor of governor of the Dnepr State; Timchenko, CEO of DTEK; Liu Jun, Chinese counselor in Ukraine; Cao Qing, general manager of the 4th Complete Plants Division of CMEC; representatives of Chinese enterprises in Ukraine and local residents.
  
Firstly, the power station’s project manager Alec praised all those working on the construction site for their excellent job. 
  
Then, DTEK CEO Timchenko gave a speech. He said that the power station is the largest green energy project in Ukraine and will be one of the three largest PV power stations in Europe when completed. It will generate not only economic but also social benefits - creating more than 1000 jobs and reducing CO2 emissions by 300,000 tons annually, thanks to the support of the Chinese government and the hard work of CMEC, he added.
  
Following Timchenko’s speech, Cao Qing said in his address that this is an unusual project with a very tight construction schedule and heavy tasks but with the hard work and wisdom of the Chinese and Ukrainian people, it will be completed successfully. The joint work of CMEC and DTEK will serve as an example of cooperation between Ukrainian and Chinese enterprises, he remarked.
  
Chinese and Ukrainian workers jointly installed the first PV panel of the project after Timchenko announced the commencement of installation. Then, the staff of Project Department showed the guests the integrated box-inverter unit, and showed the owner around the places where the workers work and live.
  
After the ceremony, the owner and CMEC people had an in-depth discussion on the progress of the project. Both sides said they will do their utmost to ensure the quality and completion of the project as scheduled.
