President Zhou Yamin met with the Minister of Transport of Argentina and the President of Ferrocarriles Argentinos

On the morning of July 24, President Zhou Yamin met with the Minister of Transport of Argentina Guillermo Dietrich in the building housing the Ministry of Transport in Buenos Aires, Argentina. President Zhou Yamin expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his support to the Belgrano Railroad Rehabilitation Project undertaken by CMEC and the negotiations over a supplementary agreement. He said it is in both parties' interests to sign a supplementary agreement as soon as possible and proposed to sign the loan agreement of the project at the G20 Summit in the presence of the leaders of the two countries as the witnesses. Dietrich said that the partnership between the Ministry of Transport of Argentina and CMEC is a pleasant one, and the quality of the products and services provided by CMEC is good. He believes that the negotiation teams on both sides will achieve outcomes in the best interest of both parties and sign a supplementary agreement as soon as possible. The two sides also discussed the prospects for cooperation between CMEC and the Minister of Transport of Argentina in the field of transportation infrastructure such as railways, highways and ports on the basis of EPC, BT and PPP. The Minister was accompanied by Manuela Lopez Menendez, Secretary of Public Works, Ministry of Transportation of Argentina, in the talks.

On the afternoon of July 23, President Zhou Yamin also held talks with Guillermo Fiad, President of Ferrocarriles Argentinos. The two sides discussed, among other things, the progress and quality of the civil work of the Belgrano Railroad Rehabilitation Project and the supply of civil engineering materials under the supplementary agreement in negotiation.
