Chairman Liu Zuqing of SINOMACH Trade Union delivered an important speech at the meeting, pointing out that SINOMACH’s Party Committee has attached great importance to the poverty alleviation. SINOMACH’s leaders, led by Chairman Ren Hongbin, have conducted a range of fact-finding investigations in relevant anti-poverty counties, giving full play to their initiative and putting the poverty alleviation in place. Chairman Liu stressed that SINOMACH's ideas of poverty alleviation are to motivate needy people to set higher aspirations, cultivate their talent, support the industry, and improve people's livelihood. All these ideas are underpinned by the most fundamental concept of targeted poverty alleviation. He fully affirmed CMEC's working plans on the two projects of training personnel for old-age care and building e-commerce platform for poverty alleviation. He believed that they are an important move toward poverty alleviation, which is of great significance in integrating all upstream and downstream resources and promoting poverty alleviation at SINOMACH’s level. He hoped that through this promotion meeting, SINOMACH could join hands with comrades from four districts and counties to do a better job in poverty alleviation. 

Party Secretary Han Xiaojun said that CMEC, as one of SINOMACH’s flagship enterprises, must put in place the spirit and requirements of Chairman Liu Zuqing's speech. Han noted that CMEC has coordinated with SIPPR Engineering Group Co., Ltd. to help Gushi County in Henan Province. According to the characteristics of Gushi County, CMEC has conceived ideas of poverty alleviation through industry, trade, and consumption. The two programs aimed at helping the needy and cultivating talents. Through the e-commerce platform, we could stimulate the purchasing power of SINOMACH’s 160,000 employees to provide safe green food for these employees, thereby driving product sales and industrial upgrading in the four counties, promoting local economic and social development, and effectively improving people's livelihood.

 

At the following promotion meeting, Liu Xiaohong, Assistant to General Manager of China-East Resources Import & Export Co. and Head of overseas personnel training program for old-age care, detailed about the status quo of China's aging population and personnel training program for old-age care. Wang Yubo, an expert in the personnel training of old-age care, introduced characteristics and content of short-term training courses. Zhu Xiangmei, Deputy General Manager of CMEC General Machinery, detailed on the e-commerce platform project for poverty alleviation. Afterward, Liu Haiping, Director of SINOMACH’s Poverty Alleviation Office and Head of Trade Union Division of Work Department of the Party Committee, conducted interaction and exchanges with these participants. Experts gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the leaders of the four districts and counties regarding the personnel training project of old-age care and the e-commerce platform project for poverty alleviation. The atmosphere of the meeting kept warm.

 

After the meeting, the Poverty Alleviation Office under CMEC organized leaders from four districts and counties to visit Beijing Jinyu Polytechnic and inspect relevant old-age care institutions such as “Taihe Garden” Community-based Old-age Service Center under Beijing Jinyu, Chenghejing Elderly Residence, and Hexihui Service Center. Mr. Wang Yubo and Ms. Gaogu Shixian, a Japanese expert in nursing care, accompanied them throughout the visit and gave an authoritative explanation of relevant issues raised by everyone. After the visit, the leaders of the four districts and counties conducted in-depth communication and exchanges with the heads in charge of the personnel training project for old-age care and the e-commerce platform project for poverty alleviation. 

It has been agreed that the meeting was held timely, enlightening all participants. It was a valuable on-site office meeting and an efficient coordination one. The conclusion of the promotion meeting means the starting of new work. It is urgently expected that the two poverty-alleviation projects proposed this time will be implemented as soon as possible. This promotion meeting has achieved a complete success and produced expected results. It has become a typical model for SINOMACH to win the battle against poverty.
