On the morning of July 3, Xian Hui, Chairwoman of the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR), led an investigation team of inland open-up to give instructions at CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park. Also attending the investigation were Fang Quanzhong, Secretary General of NHAR’s government, Xu Ning, Director of NHAR’s Development and Reform Commission, Yang Yujing, Mayor of Yinchuan City, Zhou Yunfeng, Deputy Party Secretary of Yinchuan City and Director of Yinchuan Integrated Free Trade Zone (YIFTZ), Ma Xuexia, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of YIFTZ, and Chen Shengrong, Deputy Director General of NHAR’s Commerce Department. Zhang Jianguo, CMEC Vice President, and Huang Yuequan, General Manager of CMEC Yinchuan, gave on-site reports to Chairwoman Xian and her delegation.

Vice President Zhang Jianguo detailed about CMEC’s overall investment and development in YIFTZ, the construction of the initial project at Phase I (i.e. Phase-1.1) and the next-step investment, stressing that CMEC's work in Ningxia represents an integral part of the strategic arrangement of central enterprises. Thanks to the strong support of NHAR’s government, Yinchuan Municipal CPC Committee and YIFTZ, CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park is carrying out its plan in accordance with the unified planning and step-by-step implementation. After the completion of Phase-1.1, CMEC is facilitating the internal approval of the subsequent Phase-1.2 project, with the cooperation between Ningxia and CMEC being advanced steadily.

Chairwoman Xian spoke highly of CMEC's work in Yinchuan, hoping CMEC would push forward the construction of the next-phase project as soon as possible. She also said that the NHAR government and Yinchuan Municipal Government and CPC Committee have attached great importance to the development and investment of CMEC in Yinchuan and would continue to support CMEC's work in the future to protect the investment and development of central enterprises in the Yinchuan.

General Manager Huang Yuequan gave a detailed report to Chairwoman Xian on the bonded fur logistics, bonded processing and export and other new industrial chains that have been carried out in CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park. He also reported that at Phase-1.2, they would carry out in-depth cooperation with Danish KF Auction House to invest in the construction of a bonded fur warehouse in Yinchuan and make efforts to include Ningxia Tan Sheep fur in KF international auction system.

Xian expressed her appreciation to CMEC, a central enterprise, for its clear ideas, well-defined objectives and practical efforts in the development of Yinchuan. She also recognized the idea of incorporating Ningxia Tan Sheep into KF International Auction House, hoping to implement this industry and integrate Ningxia's local resources into the international market. She stressed that YIFTZ was the first inland open-up pilot zone established by the State Council in Ningxia in 2012. NHAR has stepped up efforts to implement this move, established the hub passage through the high-speed railway and air traffic, and actively explored and cultivated more new business forms to accelerate Ningxia's economic development. Xian hoped that under the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, NHAR could promote its export-oriented economic development by taking advantage of the international engineering and trade of SINOMACH and CMEC and advance the opening up and cooperation with more central enterprises to a new high by giving a boost to the leading role through cooperation achievements.
Finally, Chairwoman Xian and her delegation visited the production workshop of Ningxia Xinbang Century, the first fur processing enterprise at CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park. After a detailed inquiry into the production and sale of raw materials, she fully affirmed that the fur industry could be put into operation in the short term, hoping that CMEC would introduce more new forms of industry to CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park and better serve the two markets, namely, the “Belt and Road” and Ningxia.

China Machinery Engineering (YIFTZ) Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CMEC founded in YIFTZ. Relying on YIFTZ and CMEC Silk Road International Cooperation Park, CMEC has given full play to its advantages in the international trade and provided bonded services, bonded logistics, bonded processing, and cross-border e-commerce for enterprises inside and outside the zone through its own bonded warehouses (including cold chain warehouses), facilitating the integration and development of trade between inland areas and international markets, especially the countries along the belt and road.
