In the morning of April 15th, Xiaojun Han, Secretary of the Party Committee joined the national flag raising ceremony organized by SPMO and the placement ceremony of the first gas turbine for Jhang 1263 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project during his field study in Pakistan. 

 

At 8:30 a.m., led by Mr. Han, all the employees at site sang China’s national anthem as the Five-Starred Red Flag was rising. Afterwards, Mr. Han joined the placement ceremony of the first gas turbine for this project and delivered a speech, congratulating PTPL, the property owner, NESPAK, the project supervisor, Siemens, the main equipment supplier as well as all participants of this project, and extending great respect and sincere gratitude to all who worked for this project. 

 

Mr. Han said, “As one of the world’s leading international project contractors and service providers, CMEC is fully committed itself into under-construction Jhang 1263 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project, Thar 3.8 Million Tons/Year Coal-Mining Project and Thar Phase II 2x330MW Pit-mouth Power Plant Project, easing power shortage in Pakistan and supplying more stable electricity to local people. Jhang project has witnessed a sound start. I believe it will achieve great success and write down a glorious chapter again.”

 

At 10:18 a.m., Mr. Han announced, “the first gas turbine for Jhang 1263 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project starts hoisting now”. Then the first gas turbine for Jhang project, weighing 490 tons, moved towards engine base with hydraulic lifting device rising slowly, which marked the official start of placement ceremony of the first gas turbine. 

 

The placement ceremony of the first gas turbine for Jhang 1263 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project in Punjab Province was also attended by PTPL, the property owner, NESPAK, the project supervisor, and representatives from Siemens, the main equipment supplier.
