On the morning of March 5, CMEC Vice President Fang Yanshui and Kenyan KEL Company Shareholders Representative Onyango Kenneth Namunje signed the Agreement on Revision of the Kipeto Wind Farm Project Contract in Dubai on behalf of their respective sides.

As CMEC’s first wind power generation project in Kenya and the whole Africa, the Kipeto Wind Farm Project adopts 60 GE 1.7MW wind turbine generator units. The EPC contract of the project was signed in Beijing on January 24, 2016. In 2017, the shareholder structure of the owner company changed, the original major shareholders withdrew, and the ACTIS Company of the United States acquired shares accounting for 88% of the total shares of the company and required to change the EPC price and some contract terms. Through difficult negotiations with the owner, the company continued to be the main contractor and reached a consensus with the owner on contract revision.
