At the 2019 Awarding Ceremony for Excellent Chinese Enterprises in Sustainable Competitiveness recently concluded in Beijing, CMEC was once again recognized as “Excellent Enterprise in Overseas Sustainable Practice.”

Committed to the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the pursuit of innovative, coordinated, green, open and inclusive development, CMEC upholds a more balanced approach to upholding principles and pursuing interests, continues responsible operation overseas, and thus builds up a good image for China and the company overseas while facilitating the sustainable economic, social and environmental development in the host country. The award echoes local stakeholders’ high praises of CMEC’s years of sustainable operation overseas.

The 2019 Global Corporate Sustainable Competitiveness Summit was co-organized by the Specialized Committee for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of Chinese Institute of Business Administration (CIBA) and Beijing Rongzhi Corporate Social Responsibility Institute, undertaken by SDML (Beijing) Information Consulting Co., Ltd., under the guidance of the Center for Industrial Enterprises’ Social Responsibility Promotion under China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE). It gathered an audience of over 200, including CFIE Executive Vice President, former head of the Research Center of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, head of CIBA, senior consultants of UNICEF China, representatives of International SOS, and Executive President of the Summit, in addition to other government officials, experts, scholars, businesspersons, and journalists from central media.
